Your spreadsheet should contain the following columns:
An ID column containing unique values, such as a SKU or EAN number.
Make sure each product has a unique ID. Multiple products with the same ID will be overwritten. Products without an ID can't be processed.
A column with product names.
A column with a product URL for each product where the urls link to a product page (https://...).
A column with product images in the format of a url. The URL is (https://...) to a product image. Usually such a URL ends in .jp(e)g or .png.
Optional: A column that contains the product price. The price does not contain currency characters such as € and any decimals are dot separated. For example: 100.00 instead of €100,-.
Mandatory columns should not have any empty cells, meaning that the information is filled for every product. And make sure there are no empty rows in your file.
Apart from these mandatory columns, we strongly recommend to add columns with additional product properties. For instance, the properties your filters are based on in your webshop. This will help you to create segments you can use while matching the products to the advice.
Save or download your file in a CSV format before you upload it to Aiden.
<aside> ❗ A column in your CSV that contains both numbers and text or special characters will be interpreted as text.
Would you like to be able to filter your products using ranges? For example, to match the products that have a price between € 20 and € 50? Then you'll need to make sure that the data in your 'price' columns is interpreted as numbers.
The easiest way to make sure the columns in your file contain only numbers, is to filter them or sort them in a Google Sheet or Excel file.

<aside> ❗ Use the correct price format to avoid misinterpretation of your data.
It's important that the price column does not contain currency characters such as €, and that any decimals are dot separated. For example: use 188.99 instead of €188,99. Why? Using commas as separators can lead to misinterpreted data. For example: 188,99 would be turned into a price of € 18899,00.
So, before you upload your CSV, check if your data set doesn't contain any comma separated prices.

These properties will be used on the advice page your customer will see. For this reason, they're required.
